Surrealism
began in the early 1920's, to " resolve the previously contradictory
conditions of dream and reality." During this time period , world war one
was ending and world war two was beginning, it was also the time of the great
depression. Three of the best
known painters of that time were Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, and Max
Ernst. In ,my opinion, this form
of art is important to our culture and our imaginations because Without it, our
country would not be artistic, it would be boring and without imagination and
wonder, if this never happened we as a human race would not have enough
imagination to create, invent, question things that happen in life, or even
have a wanting for something new or different or exciting.
