Final Project

On this project I gave a lot of effort from my personal perspective. I worked very hard on this project and it was incredibly time consuming seeing as each black shape was made separately. On the personal side of the project, my ideas didn't stop as I left the classroom. I would think about my next goal between work times in order to fully achieve my goals for this project.
If I had the opportunity to redo this piece there would be a few changes that I would like to make. My first change would be to make the orange filling and center body more blocked in a similar effect to the black outline. I believe that this would have tied the piece together rather than having them be so different.
Through this project, I found that the shape-building technique is very relaxing. It definitely has a similar effect to doodling, which in my opinion is very stress-relieving.
I truly did enjoy participating in this project. The subject of this piece is very symbolic of many people in my life. My mother has always depicted her passed mother through birds or butterflies and in memory of my grandmother, I felt like I should contribute something to her. That portion of this project made it enjoyable on more than one aspect.

Independant project reflection Questions

I fell like I put a lot of personal effort into this project. It was difficult finding what smoke picture would fit in the shape i needed it to fit in.

If I were to redo this picture I would probably not change a thing. Well, I might change how many pictures I had, I might have put so many more pictures of smoke on there but I worked with what i had and that is what a good artist does. Whoopie!

I learned that I have a LOT of persistence. I really wouldn't quit until it looked close to perfect. I really had fun during this project, even with the struggles it helped.

I loved participating in this project I thought it was awesome how we could do whatever we wanted and were able to have free ground on this. I feel like if I were to do anything else I wouldn't have struggled as much and learned as much as I did.

Final project

1. I feel like I did put a lot of effort in to my project, from doing my own sketches to replicating it in the computer, it took a lot of work put i would have liked to put more work in if i had more time.
2. If i was gonna redo my project I think i would put in a sun, and add texture and a different shape to the rocks in front.
3. I learned that i have a very simply art style, the style of the buildings and project looks cool, but its not very complex. I also learned that i cant draw straight lines.
4. I did enjoy participating in this project, i wish i could've had more time to keep expanding this project to make it bigger and more detailed, but overall it was fun to be able to do my own thing in art class and  not be told what to do all the time, my own ideas and style.

Andreas' Final

Final [NOT DONE] AO

I didn't get done and I tried to get better with maya and I wish I used something else for my final. If I were to redo my project I would have used photoshop and try to make a pixel game again. what I learned the most about myself is that I suck at maya.

Stuff done

Reflection 05-22

I wasn't too into the  video game thing so I've been working on a portrait of Nathan Green, who sits right next to me.

Honestly, I wasn't too into the game I was making. But I did put in a lot of effort up to a point of making my person walk and run. I think if I were to redo it, I'd try an RPG game with a story. I've learned that perhaps video games aren't particularly my cup of tea. I didn't enjoy working on my project, obviously, since I dropped it.

I like drawing. Please enjoy Nathan, who's partly done.

Final Project

Finlay done! I really like how it came out. if i were to redo this project the only thing I would do if I had more time would I would put the figures of some of my other characters in the background. from doing this project i learned that i tend to over estimate or underestimate my abilities. Finally I loved doing this project because not only do i love to draw, these two characters were created by both my best friend and I. so they really mean allot to me.

This is what I got done

My final independent project

This is my final product, I added the finishing touches and now, it feels and looks complete. I added all of the textures and shading I wanted, now it really feels dark, which is the mood I was aiming for. This is what I wanted from my independent project. And i achieved it.

Review 05-10

He's starting to run. He might not be the best runner though!

Final Independent Project. NickSanford.

So here is just three sketch's done for my independent project. If you want to see more go to Nick Sanford Blog on Blogger and find my home page.

Anyway this project revolved around idea sketchs and adding color to them. I think I put effort into these, each one is unique and requires you to look for a little bit.

If I had to redo it, I would like to try MudBox with the Invader to the left, It would be really awesome to see how it would work out.

I learned that I can still draw, I even learned how to use the computer notepad thing to draw on the computer which was fun and helped a lot.

In the end this project was very fun, I'm glad that I could show people some ideas and whatever they might like. I enjoyed the ideas I drew and hope to continue on such. Until then I guess I will keep sketching and do as I do - Nick Sanford

Update!

Project Reflection

After finally finishing my sculpture in mudbox, I am really happy with how it turned out. I put a ton of personal effort into creating this sculpture. When I started this project, I had little idea how to use the program mudbox. I knew that it was going to be a tough project for me because I had to figure out how to use mudbox. The more I worked with my sculpture, the easier it got for me. If I could redo my project, I would try and make it into a full body model. I would also set aside time to paint my sculpture.
By participating in this project, I have learned that I should not doubt myself when trying out a new program or idea. I really thought that I was not going to be able to do this project when I started out. This project also made me realize how much I like making these digital sculptures. Overall I really enjoyed participating in this project. I also liked how challenging this project was. I am definitely going to look into digital sculpting in the future.

FINISHED?!!

Behold! My new single for my second album, "ENVOY OF ANOTHER DIMENSION" (Coming Sometime In 2015). Oh, and if anyone asks I have made the devil sell his own soul!

Weekly Goal and What I Got Done Last Week

This is what I got done last week. I wasn't here on Friday, so I didn't meet my goal. This week I want to meet that goal and start shading on the armor chest piece.

Final Weekly Goal DL

Well, this is my last full week of school so I guess my goal should be to get my mascot done before school's over.

Goal Response DL

Well, I've decided to make another album cover, but it's going to be very difficult. It will involve my sketch that I just drew today. Hopefully, my grade went up, but if it doesn't then I'm screwed. I really don't know what else to say.

Sketch (Late): DL Gnarly Bones Band Mascot

BEHOLD! YOUR DOOM HAS BEEN DRAWN!

DL Inspirational Images

Alright. Here's my inspirational images. All of these album covers have some kind of a mascot to represent the band. I need to create a mascot for my band and not just abstract images for album covers.

Having Technical Difficulties

I've noticed just yesterday that I have an F in this class. What's going on? What do I need to do. If it's because I missed the State Art Show, I wasn't informed anything about it! Also, I can't complete my assignment because my computer is dead. Yes, I did forget to charge it and I also forgot about bringing a charger. (Gee, I guess I AM a failure. Nevermind.)

Inspirational Images

These are a few of the inspirational images:

Art Analysis

With this project, I don't really have a clear picture of what its going to look like yet. All I have so far on the analysis is that the viking king above is the main "object" in the painting.

Since he is a king, I figured giving him really fancy armor was the best way to make him the subject of the piece. The detail also provides the person looking at it with the ability to move around the piece. I will also put more details around the rest of the picture to keep the eyes shifting around it.

I realise that there aren't a lot of days left in the school year, but detail is just something I have to incorperate into my art. Detail is just something I'm good at. I naturally hove an urge to apply it to all my drawings. It just makes the pictures look better. I don't expect to get done this by the last day, but I don't care. Its just something to do.
