Project Proposal

Through this final project I would like to gain more experience in Adobe Illustrator. This was one of my favorite programs we've used so far. I enjoy creating scenery, characters, logos, and many other graphics in this program. I thought it would be cool to take it further and make something very creative or advanced. I hope to have an awesome picture or scene of something (Video game loading screen, Cartoon scene, Logo) and making it look good. Plus, this would be a good skill to have in the future if you needed to create a job logo or some interesting image through a computer. I will be working independently so I can grasp a full understanding of what there is to come.

Weekly Goal

basically the rest of my time is going to be dedicated to filling in the background with photos

Independent project proposal

In this project i expect to further my knowledge in creating logos. I decided to explore this project because i enjoyed creating my own logo earlier in the year, so i thought i could fully dedicate myself to this project. I will have at least one if not two logos completed by may 21st. I might use the knowledge i gain from this project if i create my own company and decide i need a logo, i can just create one myself. I will be working by myself in this project, since this is a project about creating logos about myself it would not feel right to have someone elss working on my logos.

Project proposal

What do you hope to teach yourself?- To understand making a video game a little better.

Explain why you decided to explore this particular?- As a career I want to design games or be a graphic designer in video games.

What are you going to have completed by May 21?- A playable level in a video game with not so great quality but maybe  interesting.

How might you use what you are learning on this assignment in the future?- I would use my knowledge for my career choice,

Are you working independently or in a group and why?- In a group so at least there is communication and teamwork. Plus better quality of our game engine creation.

1.    I hope to teach my self on how to build a video game.

2.    I decided to do this because I’ve always wanted to create a video game, and I saw this as my opportunity to do so.

3.    I’m hoping to have a working, playable game.

4.    Possibly to use this experience to help me create video games in the future.

5.    I am working in a group mainly because I would never be able to create a working, playable game with the given time. Roles: Everything – Hunter, Alex, and Austin.

Project Proposal

•I hope to teach myself how to construct a video game.

•I am exploring this particular project because it seems like fun, its a little different than what we've done, and I aspire to design video games for a living so this is good practice.

•By May 21st, I should have a playable level done. However, it will likely be short and would lack details in certain areas.

•I could use what I learned in this project in my future if I do ever end up making games for a living.

•I am working in a group because this would be much harder without them. I think that for the sake of actually making this game in time for the end of the year, no one will have a defined roll and we'll all just do what we need to have done.

Proposal

In this project i hope to better teach myself how to use Photoshop. I hope to learn how to do more advanced things and learn about Photoshop itself more.

I decided to specifically choose this project because I have only worked with Photoshop once before, and I enjoyed it much more than I did Maya and the other applications I have tried out.

By May 21st I will have completed making a unique photo on Photoshop and getting it put on  a phone case.

I might use what I am learning from this project in the future because I might want to learn more about Photoshop and start using it more regularly. Especially if I take another class like this one.

I am working independently because during out last project in which I was in  a group things didn't go as smooth as I thought they would go. Certain groups members would do more work than required and some would barley do anything. The project where I worked alone I managed to get all my work done and even early. I just want to be able to accomplish what I can and get the grade I deserve and not have other peoples either failure or success to work reflect on my grade.

Proposal

I hope to further my coloring and digital painting capabilities with this project, as well work on mixing media. I chose this project to help diverge from my usual type of illustration and make a piece that is more independently standing. It will need to be completed by May 21st. I hope that this will help me gain more experience in conceptual art, and possibly storybook illustration. I'm working independently, so I can make adjustments and changes as my creative vision sees fit. Plus it's just a picture, so it's better suited for independent work as to not clash styles.

Project Proposal

By using Ponoko, I hope to be learning more about laser cutting and the process and details that go into it.  I want to use Ponoko, because I want to do a form of 2D printing, but I want lots of details to it.  By May 21st I hope to have a design completed and ready to print. I'm hoping to use the knowledge I gain from this project for other things in the future.  If I ever want something personalized and created I will have the ability to do so.
our group is doing a 3d "clash of the clans" type deal so i am going to watch tutorials on how to do the environment so it looks the best

Tristan

•I hope to teach myself how to work with unity and make a game

•I plan to explore how unity works and what you can do with it

•i expect to have a small scale game completed

•To make other games in the future and maybe make a job out of it

•help on environment, make characters, and animate

Proposal for project

In this assignment, I hope to learn more techniques of illustrations and how to use different brushes in Photoshop. I wanted to explore this project because I have been doing a lot of illustrations lately and see what some of them would look like in a digital program such as Photoshop or GIMP. I have been using GIMP on my other computer and my illustrations have been looked pretty good. What I hope to have completed by May 21st is the picture, fully shaded, colored, and whatnot. In the future, I want to work on something big, such as a huge art collab or something of the works.I will be working independently on this project.

Final Animation for ad

Finally it's done! So here it is, fully rendered and edited in Final Cut Pro. Hope you guys like it.

Final project

I hope to learn the basics of video game design. I want a job later in life that deals video games, but i hope to create them more then testing them. I plan on having a game completed by may 21st( no promises). I might use this knowledge on a job one day. I am working in a group with Tristan Hall and Sam Gallup. When creating a video game you need multiple people doing audio, video, design.

Independent Project Proposal

Through this assignment I want to teach myself to improve in Adobe Illustrator and make a somewhat professional looking image. I decided to explore this project because it includes two of my favorite things; drawing and Doctor Who. I didn't use illustrator much this year but when i did, I liked the program. I'm doing a Doctor Who theme because it is something different, and you can do anything with the concept. By May 21st I hope to have the image completed, with the doctor, his companion, and the Dalek. I may add more if I have spare time. I may use what I'm learning in a future career, or even when I take this class again. I'm working individually because it is the final project and i want to see what I can do independently.

Independent Project Proposal - Due April 29th

Weekly Reflection 8 - Drawing the Background

So I rescaled the samurais and started drawing a cool japanese background. That's about it.

Weekly update

Theres about a week left before the state art show. This week i worked on a new scene of the elephant taking a drink and i actually have a video to show what i worked on. its only about 5 seconds of animation and id like to spend more time fine tuning this scene.

Weekly Reflection 7

So I colored both samurais and I like how they turned out. I did the lighting so it looked like there were city lights reflecting off of them. I'll draw the background next time which will be set in tokyo.

Weekly Reflection

So far here's what I was able to complete:
Making the title card and ending card
Adding a better light to the scene
And unfortunately that's it...

All I really need to do now is some editing in Final Cut Pro and look for any additional sounds if needed. Here are the title and ending cards.

Weekly Progress

This week I was able to get almost completely done with my piece for the state show for color design. As well as done philisophical art.

Weekly Reflection- Finished piece "Chain Mail"

I finished it like I thought I would. After adding some layers of black shading and some glow, I think it has reached the mood I intended for it. I also refined the sketchiness of the lineart in some areas, like the Smile dog and the couch.
Always forward your chain mail.

Free Video Game Engine - Unity 5

We'll be starting our independent projects as soon as the State Art Show is over, and wanted to introduce you to a game engine that you might be interested in pursuing for that assignment.

By the end of the week I hope to have the girl finished, then start on further lighting effects (such as the beam coming from the door and darkening of the background)

weekly goal

our team goal is to finish are project

weekly update

I was sick on tuesday so I have only had one class day of work, so on this one day i spent it really tweaking the way that the elephant in my scene moves. I was slightly annoyed with it when i started because it looked very choppy and wasnt smooth what so ever. I worked for about 45 min trying to adjust it but that didnt fix my problem. i decided to playblast the short scene and discovered that it look very smooth but was too fast. So i spent the last half of class trying stretch out the scene to take up a bit more frames and look more normal. Even that took time though, and created more problems. This small scene is proving to take up much more time than i originally thought it was going to.

Weekly Reflection 6 - New Samurai

The new samurai I drew, next class I'm going to color them, then I'll move onto the soldier samurai.

Goals

What I hope to accomplish this week:
Actually adding a logo to the title screen
Editing in Final Cut Pro
Animating a little bit more, it's close to completion,
still needs some finishing touches
Look for more sounds
Yeah...that's pretty much what I need to accomplish, I also need to render the final animation.
