Collage and Photomontage!

What is a collage, and what is a photo montage?
First off, a collage is a technique used in the visual arts where the art is assembled (AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!) in different forms and creates a new whole. It can be put together with anything from newspaper clippings, photographs, various papers. Here is an example;
The dog pictured above would be a collage because he is pasted together with different styles and textures of paper, thus creating the new whole that was talked about above.

A photomontage is different from a collage. A photomontage is the process of cutting and joining different images or photographs with each other, take note of this example;
This image here is a photomontage because the artist has combined two different images of an iceberg, giving an effect of that the iceberg is bigger underwater. :)
