Independent Evaluation

During this composite process I encountered a variety of challenges. The first of the difficulties I faced was actually taking the pictures. I thought that the HDR process would really bring out the surreal element in the photo right from the start since the HDR processed images tend to push the boundaries of photography and come out with a gritty effect. When I set up the photos I had a variety of pictures to take and realized I would need a self timer on the camera in order to get me in the frames which was difficult because I only had 10 seconds to get into position. Another issue with the HDR aspect was I had to stand perfectly still until all three exposures completed which lasted around 30 seconds or else I would get blur. Surprisingly, assembling the photos went quickly because the shots were lined up correctly on the first attempt. Another issue I faced was creating a floor that I was satisfied with. I went through about 4 trials on the floor and finally got what I was looking for from generating it in Maya and bringing it over to Photo Shop. It was also difficult to get the floor pieces to blend once in Photo Shop. Looking at my breakdown I feel that i'm on track because I have a full month to complete as many more of these as I can and they should go more quickly now that I have one out of the way.
