Week 2

i will continue to sculpt my human in Mud Box and perhaps i will finish this week with sculpting.

2/28/11 Weekly Goal!!!!

My goal for this week is to get a complete drawing done in pencil to scan onto the computer. I will shade it in pencil and do the parts separately and photoshop them in. But for this week I just want to get the drawings done and do a couple of extras and choose the best to put in.

Reflection: I got the birds, flowers, and skull drawn out. The only thing I need to do is shade them and scan them onto the computer.

week 2 goal

Week 2-28-11: My goal is to start creating some of my sketches on the computer. I’ll choose my top concepts, and work from there. I’ll either use photoshop or illustrator to make my images.

Friday, February 25, 2011

I just got done with half of my glasses i just need to duplicate it and merge the pieces

Golf Montage

I think i did pretty good. It is a very long process to get the photos and layer mask them to look real in the final picture.

Today I finished modeling the sunglasses and I started to do the trench coat.

What I Did JKP

I worked on my preparation drawing that I will do before the actual drawing.
I plan on getting the real drawing next week. So far I'm doing pretty good

Reflection

I have only accomplished part of my weekly goal. Getting the whole photomontage the same color since I have used many different images is taking a long time. Also, , making the flowers look good has taken a lot of time.
this week I brain stormed alot on how to build the church and re draw it. I forgot to get theb sketch on to the computer so i dont really have anything to post.
HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Cody Hall: My completions

I have the body, better boots, and two legs built onto my guy. I have made my accomplishments.

Rain!

I got only part of my goal done. I have stated to work on the city environment and the field idea was put on hold so i did not work on it this week.

End of Week 1

This is what I have accomplished this week. My Helmet Racks, Bat Racks and Benches are for the most part done. I am debating if I want to do stairs but I think that overall, I reached my goal for this week.

Hellhound

Thursday, February 24, 2011

I completed a sketch of a cat playing with a grasshopper in a garden. I aim to create another sketh next week and color in the current one.
I did what I set out on doing.

Week 2 - Nog Project

Week 2

I met the minimums for my goal this week; I got one orthographic view into Maya, and began the basic mesh modeling. I chose to only create and import one image plane because of the complexity involved in drawing the others. I think that having a partially modeled fox to work off of and using real pictures as image planes will be a better idea.

Week 1 Reflection

Week 1 Reflection: So far I have not figured out what I would like the interior of the house to look like, but I have found some resource images that have inspired me. I began to draw a possibility of what our house could be. Weston has started his version and then we will all come together to a final conclusion. Brody has been thinking of some fantastic ideas for what the pool will look like and other concepts for the house.

What i have so far in the modeling of my skate shop. I think it is turning out pretty good.

Reflection on week

This week I drew ideas out and looked at inspiration. Mostly my inspiration came from Jublin. Concepts that I thought of were like monster eating a flower, the space adventures of bud and blitze, a lizard throwing up lines, butterflies, and stuff, a snail with the earth as its shell, a cartoony love scene, an eye with an apple in it(the apple of my eye), little red riding hood in the forest, and elongated figures all after a rose. Those are some of my concept ideas, I'll end up choosing the best three and doing those three.

U.Y.G Skateboards

These are my designs for my skateboards and longboards so far

Independent Project Weekly Goal

This week I plan to get at least two drawings done. I plan to begin coloring them in Photoshop next week.

Mercy M

Independent Project Goals

My goal is to create a guy dancing “Melbourne Shuffle” of coarse I want to show people what is the fun of dancing and also what I want to include is “Color” to this. The style must be included, but i will only change the pants into shorts. I have an image of a guy wearing beige shorts, electro color shirt, the background will be Electro or Techtonik, and for the final part I will make my guy dance Melbourne shuffle and perhaps I will put in some Techtonik.

Week 1 Feb 22, 2011

I will get in my UV’s done and then begin to sculpt it up to its future model

Artist Discovery

Meats Meier

This picture is actually part of a series that’s started with a bear and decomposes to nothing but a mechanical skeleton. In this picture there isn’t really just one main focal point, your eyes kind of jump around the whole piece. I like the border and how he put the bear decomposing around the edge. Meats uses a lot of mechanical elements in most of his works. I think he is trying to show that everything has a dark side or something you cant see with the naked eye. I like this picture because it is different and kind of creepy in its own way. http://www.3dartspace.com/

BANKSY

The second artist I chose is Banksy. He does a lot of street art with more

The second artist I chose was “Banksy” He is a street artist and uses a lot of propaganda in his works. He also uses a lot of random quotes and characters. All of his work is a play on original ideas and thoughts. The doctor listening through a stethoscope on the “I <3>

New Project Golf Montage

Final Goal: I would like to have all of the major golf scenes and history in the project by the end of class. I was thinking that i would make them look like pictures and put them in a building made in maya. They could be like a big poster or advertisement.
Week Goal: I would like to have had one of them done and started the second one.

By the end of the week!

I want to have my guitar completed then maybe set up in a rig and positioned.

week 1 goal

My goal for this week is to work on the sketches for my quick animation of the magical snowman. i hope to have ten done by the end of the week so i can start modeling next week, and hopefully get the small environment done by next Friday. i doubt i will use mudbox for anything except for painting one or two things. other than that everything will be done in maya and photoshop as one continuous cut.

Guitar! Colton Krohn

By April 18th I plan to have my guitar completely finished. Colored and all. With a good finish that I enjoy. Hopefully I can get it into mudbox and paint it up and whatnot and then possibly get a rig to have play the guitar and just put in a position. I would like to hopefully have a full band rigged up soon.

Weekly Goals

My goal for this week is to have the main shape of the dugout, dugout benches and stairs made in Maya. If I end up having extra time, then I will start modeling the smaller objects (Baseballs, Helmets, Bats etc.) in the dugout.

Week 1

Im going to finish up on a few more sketches and help figure out what kind of rigs my team is going to use.
Ill be working on the hell-hound I will be drawing the the hell-hound and starting maya

Emily's weekly goal 22nd-25th

I plan on figuring out how to work the paint tool and to start working on both the city and field environments.

weekly goal

week 1: my goal for this first week is to be at least half way through my first photomontage since I need to have one photomontage finished every 2 weeks.

First Weekly Goal.

2/23/11.

First of all, I'd like to have a basic sketch of what I want my final modeled design to look like. From there and by the end of the week, I want to have at least one of the buildings basic design modeled and start working on it's outward additions/features.
Week one. I plan to start the rough sketches of the church or chaple in a forest. I hope to have at the ed of the week the final sketch and start doing it on the computer.
:D
Happy Wednesday y'all!
:D
Weekly Goal: My goal for this week is to have my sketches finished. Also, I'm gonna try and get the character rigs downloaded for my group.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Cody Halls Spartan

I plan to have at least the entire body completed and rendered by April 18. Hopefully I’ll get the color of the armor in.

brodys weekly goal

weekly goal: My weekly goal for this current week is to get my sketches done for out pool that will be attached to our house. at the moment im not sure

Independent Project Goal, Alanna

Week 1 Goal: This week I am hoping to have a floor plan made... something that Brody and I can agree on. Some sketches of the exterior and interior of the house might be done but I'm not sure at this point

Independent Project

2/22/11

Large goal/overall goal: Our goal is to create a futuristic looking contemporary house crumbling either into a cruddy shed or into nothing. So one example would be this nice looking house but along the length of the structure, the house begins to deteriorate. What I mean is that the house will fall apart into debris/rubble. The other option would be to have this fancy house and then it would transform into a rundown shed. This option is more symbolic than the other. The concept being portrayed in this project is related to fame. In the second choice, the concept is in relation to fame and poorness.

Alanna Crandall

Brody Peterson

Weston Mason

Daniel W. Overall goal & week goal 1

I will be designing a skate shop. This skate shop will contain a wall of t-shirts, a wall of hats, and a wall of skateboards behind the cashier. There will be display cases through out the shop showing off the best boards. The environment will be the construction if the entire building with a skate park right outside of the building. There will be color and design on every aspect of the modeled shop. There will be a 3-5 second clip making the transition from outside to indoor.

This week I will be getting color on all of the T-shirts.

brads independant project goal

my goal for this week is to get my model rigged with skin weights painted and have the uv's layed out

Independent Project

By April 8th I want to create something different something really unique. I want it to have a lot of detail. I want it to be kind of a big thing. Something that is challenging and difficult. I want to go for a more futuristic look that’s really complex. It’s going to be 3D. Created in Maya. I want there to be at least two or three characters. With one I want a Daft Punk/ futuristic look. With another one an Alien kind of look inspires me. With the third I want to create a zombie look.

Weekly Goal - Week one 2/22/11

I hope to get an idea for my project and a drawn out sketch or something and get a couple of reference pictures.

Independent Project

Overall Independent Project goal:
I will be creating between 3 and 5 graphic designs for t-shirts. I want the designs to be colorful and wacky in design, very cartoony. Something that would stand out and make people want to buy it.

Week goal 2-22-11:
My goal for this week is to create my concept sketches. Look at the coloring, flowing, repetition and subject of each sketch, trying to find just the right idea for my project.

Overall Project Goals & Week 1

Independent Project Starting Goals

I will be attempting the modeling of a snowy mountainous landscape, the creating of a digital analog of a red fox, and the rigging an animation of the fox in that landscape. The end result will be a cinematic intro to my FoxTale logo, which can be seen at http://i.imgur.com/WZ08s.jpg. I will fully model the fox, which should be an interesting experiment in using maya’s fur tools. The snow on the landscape is something I haven't done yet either.

In total, this project will produce around 3-6 seconds of footage, which means that although I am only creating one scene, I will need to render around 72-144 individual frames. I have prior experience in video editing, so assembling the final product should not be too much of a challenge.

I will be calling this endeavor the “nog project” after the Welsh name fox fox, “llwynog”. Apart from the weekly blog posts, I will have a running progress log at http://stephenbelden.imgur.com/nog_project_development.

Week 1: Feb 21 - Feb 25

I will be modeling the fox first, before the landscape. By thursday I will have all of my orthographic views sketched an put into maya, and I will have a rough 3d modeling of that.

week 1

2/22/11

this week I hope to have my all my art work done and on the computer and simi colored on photoshop by Thursday.

Week Goals

Overall Goal:
My goal before the art show in April is to have at least one illustration done. I hope to get more than one done though because there are so many ideas and styles I want to try. Also, I want them to be of a good quality, but unique to me. I do not mind proportions, but they should be proportioned and still express a style I want to stick with. Not to mention I want to try out many programs to see which will be used to the best of my ability.
I am going to do a day of the dead skull illustration. I hope to have it colored in photoshop or a similar program. I hope to make a full scene, but the least I want is the skull.
Dias De Los Muertos
For my independent project I want to make a macabre day of the dead skull at a table. I want to make it look like an altar with candles and flowers around, with some birds to show a living side. I want to illustrate this and make it look fairly real. This is to help me develop my own style in the arts without rules of proportions and where things belong.

Week 1
2/7/11
This week my goal is to post my now finished fish on the blog. After that I will look up illustrations and try to find my direction for my independent piece. I hope to start this week on it.
This week I thought of my idea and developed it.

Week 2
2/15/11
I am going to do a day of the dead skull. I hope to have it at least sketched this week and some ideas for the designs.

Week 3
2/22/11
I hope to have my concept sketch at least half way done by Thursday. I have some things I want to add to it, such as birds and flowers, which might complicate it a little and take longer, but it will all be worth it if the piece looks good.

Reflection:
I got a good concept sketch of the skull, flowers, and birds. I have the image sketched a little more but I need to define it better.

Indpendent Project

I am planning on constructing the dugout of a baseball field after a loss of the world series. There will be crushed paper cups and sunflower seeds all over the ground. I also plan to make the water coolers, helmets and baseball bats. To make all of this, I will use Maya, Mudbox and Photoshop. By April 8th, I will have a still render of the dugout scene and all of the items will hopefully be textured.
the lighting would be poor and stormy while its bright due to the fire, the area is a forest surrounding a church with a few tombstones. The reason for the fire is cause a hell-hound wondered in the area. My friend, John Hoffman, is the one making the hell-hound so i am not sure how its looks other than big evil and made maya. I will be photoshopping the forest/church on fire. over all it will be an ilistration and still, no animation.

Final project plan

Jordan Cooper
Emily Ellbogen
Ryan Renfro

We are going to make an animated short scene based off “The Matrix”. IT will be around 10 seconds long.

Jordan will animate and rig NEO.

Ryan will animate and rig Agent smith.

Emily will animate the background environment and other random things if needed.

We are just no finishing up our sketches and will do goals next week

By April 8th we should finish all animating and rendering of the short flim.

For my independent project I want to model a U.S Navy Blimp that is around the era of WW11. I would like to make this in Maya, and would hope to make maybe a flying animation, with some still render shots. By April 8th I should have it completely modeled with its cabin and maybe even a landing pad/dock. The picture below is the kind of blimp I will be modeling.
Week 1:Feb 23-25
I would like to sketch some variations of the blimp that I will be creating in maya. I will hopefully get 3-5 variations done in this time period.

Independent Project

I am planing on making drawing a robotic super solder demon mix and then coloring it in photoshop. I got the idea when I was playing a Warhammer game. Hopefully it will look something like this.

Independent Project

For my independent project I'd like to model an environment design in maya that will somewhat resemble the traditional buildings and canals of Italy. My goal is to design a small scene around a semi-traditional building which will be the main point of the scene. From there I'd like to add a canal, and additions to and around the building like a sidewalk and bridge leading down into the canal or another building.

Independent Project

For my independent project I am planning to do an illustration series of scenes/animals that will be hand drawn cartoon-style and textured in Photoshop. My goal is to get a total of at least three done. I am going to try and get two drawings done next week, not including the painting in Photoshop.

independent project goal

For my independent project I plan on having 4 photomontages finished by April 8th. I've decided to use the illustration medium and I will do one photomontage every 2 weeks. There isn't really a theme I'm leaning towards but Sarolta Ban's work is pretty inspiring because I like the way that the artist's work is kind of eerie and different, not happy like most. My work is going to have all sorts of themes and moods, not just one. The photomontages I'll be working on aren't going to consist of just random images, they will all tie together somehow.

artist discovery

the picture on the left is called the deference engine
it is done by an artist that goes by imphead i like his fifties and post mordern influences combined with the realistic back grounds on the use of muted organic colors combined with unatural colors
the photo on the right is labeled the angel of death by manuhell its use of dark colors reminds me of art of the black death with rennascance oil painting techniques

Independent Project - Final Goals

Due February 18th you are to have a written statement of what is going to be accomplished by April 8th. What medium are you going to work in, how many images will you create, will you work collaboratively and so on? Also collect imagery from artist that inspire the direction you're going for.

You will be given a grade for posting your written goal to the blog by Friday 2/18/2011.

artist discovery 2

The second artist I discovered was David Terrazas. I think that he takes great pictures. In his albums, some of his photos are of cities and they really give you an inside look on what life is like in these places. The photo on this post is taken in Madrid, I really like the way it looks. Overall I don't think there is any thing I don't like about David's pictures. There are a few of his pictures that were taken in black and white and they are very fascinating. I love black and white pictures so that's why I like this artist so much.
