3.In Europe in the  1920’s, a few years after the first world war, surrealism began.  Its started as a less violent and more artistically bases, however it later become a movement in art.

4.Surrealism occurred because artist started to reject other popular styles, taking what other styles have done and making it different.  One person explains "The history of every art form shows critical epochs in which a certain art form aspires to effects that could be fully obtained only with a changed technical standard, that is to say, in a new modern art form." - Walter Benjamin.  He say that technology helps with the movement 5. Paris, France. 6. In my Option its important to our culture and our imaginations, because it gives that unrealistic idea of what could and couldn’t be there. It gives us the factor that you can take something and begin to place it some where else.
