Logos and symbols

 

Symbolism: The practice of representing things by symbols, or of investing things with symbolic meaning or character. A symbol is also an object, action, or idea that represents something other than itself.

Logo: A symbol or other small design adopted by an organization to identify its products, uniforms, vehicles, ect.

The similarities and differences between symbols and logos is that logos are promoting a product for a company where as symbols are representing a thing or idea. However, they both represent something, which is their similarity.
