how symbolism works: symbolism is a form of advertising an idea to the viewer using a recognizable logo or icon to get the idea in the target persons head. it can also be used as an art form to express the way you feel about something. some examples are; when there is an anti circle with a cigarette in it, people know not to smoke there. Or how a handicapped sign is universal so people know not to park there.
How a logo works: logos are typically either completely graphic,or just uses a name in order to promote instant public recognition as a form of advertisement, commonly used by businesses to gain recognition.
Differences: symbolism is used to communicate something, logos are used to advertise something.
Similarities:t They both use graphics and words to get a point into someones head.
The value of learning how to make a logo design: It can come in handy in the future, for instance, if we ever were to start a business we would know what the logo should look like. It could also boost creativity of the designer.
