Reflection on drawing

What I got done today were these things:
Coloring
Background color, and that's pretty much it unfortunately....
I looked up more references of the character to make sure I wasn't coloring him incorrectly.
Next week, I hope to accomplish shading and adding more lighting to the character, and adding more to the background, because it looks like a bland maroon colored background. I learned that the pressure opacity button is useful when coloring, so the colors don't look transparent when you turn the background layer off.
