Photomontage Research

1.   WHO: Giorgio De Chirico (1888-1978), Paul Klee (1879-1940), Francis picabia (1879-1953).

2. WHAT: These pictures are very imaginative. One of the pictures as you see are statues that are alive. When I see this image it makes me think that there is another race. Also this could be some kind of emotional struggle that he is trying to show the people. The other picture you see has spices floating around a fish meal. This picture could be trying to show us that we can do anything with our food. I see food stuff floating around the fish this one is weird and interesting. The last one you see is a super cow then below it are a bunch of hands raised which I think they are trying to ask for help. They might be asking why a cow is super. He could be trying to show us that meat makes you strong.

3.WHEN: The surrealist art movement occurred in the early 1920’s. The world event it started in was world war 1.

4.WHY: Because of the destruction of world war 1.

5.WHERE: Most of them came from Europe.

6. In my opinion if we did not have a broad imagination then every then would be colorless all the logos you see today not that creative without good imagination.
