symbolism is the meaning of something even without knowing what it means. For example a stop sign symbolizes stop stop even without the word stop on it a person would associate it with stopping.

Logos show what a company does or makes without a person having to make any associations with anything but the company, and usually work the best when they are short and to the point.

Similarities between symbolism and logos are that they are both a graphic image of something, they are also both meant to have a meaning.

diffrences between the two are that logos are meant to show what a company does or is, and symbolism must  be thought about.

I think that learning logo design is important because it can express youu personality and or company, and if you decide to become a logo designer for companies it pays good money
