Trex Animation Walk Cycle

Happy Elephant

Happy elephant is clearly happy judging by his walk cycle. Clearly.

Weekly Reflection + Emotion Animation (Happy)

Here is what this week entailed for my work. The animation that the other students did, I took part of as well. I had a grand ole time making this eagle sore through the heavens. With that the first part of Alex and my animation team has been complete.

The little girl was happy and skipping along. The older man was just walking and looked kind of bored.

Weekly Reflection

So here's a sketch of the background that I'll use for my characters, all I have to do is color it now. Coloring it may take about a month, rush anything. Once I'm done coloring I'll start on the sketch for the characters. who will be flying mid-air about to hit each other with melee weapons.

Mission:
Using a pre-existing rig, breath life into that character by animating it in a walk cycle and posting a video of your work onto the blog.

Each team member must create his or her own animated walk cycle. These characters must contrast each other’s mood, but use the same rig (e.g. happy vs. sad). The emotions are up to you to choose.

Annimation walk cycle

Both the rigs are constantly moving and they both reflect their mood by how they are walking. They also show their age and maturity by how they walk too, such as the little girl would be skipping because of her age and the older man would walk like any other man due to his age and what he is doing.
The difference is that the large man s walking and kind of looking back at the little girl while he is walking. The man kind of looks a little depressed. The little girl is happy and is skipping in a happy matter.

Animated Walk Cylcle Assignment - 30 points total - Due at the end of class Friday the 21st.

Weekly update

This week i haven't had a whole lot of time to work on my animation since it is a short week, but i have finished some things. I attempted to straighten out my characters arms while he was yawning and i ended up getting so frustrated that i had to leave him as is and move on to working on something else before it drove me mad. When you stare at the same 1 second of animation for 3 hours of work, you tend to lose perspective and pick apart things that don't even look weird. So far i've been making the elephant walk around the scene and its proven to be a challenge. I thought making a person walk was hard, try moving four legs a tail and a head. Its very hard to get all of the timing right, so I may move the camera around when rendering and try to  make the actual animation as easy as possible and not consume too much of my time.
